Hotel Alpstubli is situated at an altitude of 1300 meters
overlooking Lake Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most stunning
lakes. Stoos is a car-free summer and winter
resort, accessible by aerial cable car from Morschach and by
funicular from Schlattli.
Lake Lucerne and its boat cruises, the Swiss Knife Museum, Schwyz,
Muotathal with Hölloch cave or world-famous Rigi-Mountain are
reachable in less than 30 minutes. Zurich and Lucerne at
approximately 45 minutes.

The Region
In Stoos you can practice the following sports in Summer :
Nordic Walking, hiking, mountain biking (different levels of
difficulties) with GPS for the “adventure tours”, a playful method
to
discover the beautiful landscape. A sports centre, tennis courts and
a swimming pool on the premises complete the offer.
As to Winter, meeting on the summits of Klingenstock and
Fronalpstock
by teleferic and enjoy yourself on the numerous ski runs (one of
them
approved by FIS), cross country skiing and snow boarding.
Excursions
An idea for the whole family: the panorama hiking trail to the
Fronalpstock, accessible by teleferic and even for the juniors by
pushchair !
Aerate your brain and lungs at the famous Swiss Holiday Park in
Morschach, a site offering a wellness & spa centre, a adventure park
disposing of a climbing wall, a fitness as well as a badminton-
squash and tennis court.
To crown your visit in the region, meeting at the grotto of Hölloch,
which offers 200 km of mazes, galleries and underground lakes. To
join this magic place, enough to go to the village of Muotatal.
Guided visits are naturally possible.
Map & Directions
By car :
Stoss is a car free resort, reachable by funicular from Schlattli
(or
by teleferic from Morschach). Free parking is at disposal at these
two mountain stations.
Coming from the north on the motorway A4, exit Schwyz
go direction Muotathal as far as the funicular of
Schlattli (about 10 km).
Coming from the south on the motorway A2, take the exit n° 36
Flüelen on the level of Altdorf, continue as far as Schwyz
and
follow then above instructions.
By train :
In order to reach Stoos by funicular, get off the train at the
station of Schwyz and take the bus to Muotathal. (By teleferic, get
off at the station of Brunnen and take the bus to Morschach.)
By plane :
From Zurich airport, at a distance of 85 km, take the motorway
A3 then the A4 direction Luzern, continue as far as Schwyz and
follow then above instructions.
By public transport, there are train connexions from Zurich to
Schwyz
and Brunnen.
